I saw this idea in a magazine and had to try it out. I have looked for Advent calendars everywhere and they are either too expensive or extremely cheap. We took Saran wrap, Hershey's kisses and ribbon and made our own. Everyday Nick gets to cut a kiss off and help count down the days till Christmas. He thinks it is pretty cool that he gets candy everyday, but hopefully in a few years he will understand the true meaning behind it....

You have the cutest ideas. I love the advent idea. We have one from church that has chocolate behind a picture everyday. Yours is way better, wish I had seen it sooner, may try it anyway.
By the way, we made the turkeys for Thanksgiving, they were a hit.
